Using building performance simulations (BPS) in early stages makes it possible to combine high architectural and building performance qualities. One of the most powerful methods are external façade studies combined with representative rooms and mass modelling. This method has been used in many projects to optimize daylight, thermal comfort, view to the outside and energy performance. During this session suitable optimization parameters, metrics and software tools will be presented together with several projects where this method has been used.
Max Tillberg works as consultant at Bengt Dahlgren AB. His main areas of expertise are indoor climate, energy systems and facade optimization. He is also a board member of IBPSA Nordic and teaches at Chalmers University of Technology.
