CLT Living Place

Cross-laminated timber (CLT) structures are constructed using mass timber elements, which means structural planes made of solid wood bonded in a perpendicular direction.

CLT decks offer the advantage of larger spans without requiring intermediate supports, even with similar dimensions. CLT elements can also be left exposed in the interior without the necessity of adding another interior finish layer. However, it is important to note that CLT elements must be covered with a thermal insulation layer, resulting in increased overall thickness of roofs and walls compared to timber frame elements.
