Towards healthy, resilient and sustainable architecture
The 10th VELUX Daylight Symposium took place on 18 September 2025 at Mogens Dahl Concert Hall in Copenhagen, Denmark.
This year’s theme, “Towards Healthy, Resilient, and Sustainable Architecture,” brought together researchers and industry professionals to explore the transformative power of daylight.
Participants imagined a world where daylight is not just a source of illumination but a beacon of health and well-being. The symposium explored how natural light can heal and restore, shaping our environments and our lives. Discussions included the future of daylight legislation and policies that guide us toward brighter, healthier living environments. The program highlighted how daylight can breathe new life into urban landscapes and examined the balance between health and sustainability in creating spaces that nurture both people and the planet. Resilient design was also a key focus, offering safe and healthy havens for generations to come.
The event wove together scientific knowledge and practical applications, bridging disciplines and sparking new ideas. We thank all participants for their contributions to this enlightening journey.

Venue – Mogens Dahl Concert Hall in Copenhagen
Mogens Dahl Concert Hall is tucked away in a cobbled courtyard in the Islands Brygge district of Copenhagen. Originally an old horse stable, it has been transformed into a concert hall known for its wooden rafters, high ceilings, and great acoustics. The hall provides a cozy and engaging atmosphere, and with its excellent sound and lighting, Mogens Dahl Concert Hall is an ideal setting for the Daylight Symposium.
