VELUX Group and Thylander have joined forces to accelerate the green transition in Danish construction. This partnership makes Thylander the first property investor in Denmark to apply Living Places principles in large-scale residential projects. The ambition: 500 new rental homes with a significantly lower CO₂ footprint.

The Danish construction sector accounts for 30% of Denmark’s total CO₂ emissions. To meet climate goals, new solutions must be scaled quickly. Through this partnership, VELUX and Thylander aim to demonstrate that sustainable housing is not only possible, it’s scalable.
Current and Future Projects
Thylander is already working on:
- Gartnerhaven, Hvidovre - 106 rental homes
- Søagerhusene, Smørum - 105 rental homes
Over the coming years, the ambition is to build more than 500 new homes inspired by Living Places principles.
