The construction process of Living Places officially started in Copenhagen on 30 August 2022. EFFEKT, Enemærke & Petersen, MOE and VELUX were onsite to launch the building of seven houses that will demonstrate in practice how quality homes can be built with a very low CO2 emission and a first-class indoor climate.

“We are very happy that, in partnership with visionary players, we can develop and show concrete solutions to the climate challenges in construction with homes that are both sustainable, buildable and affordable." says Tina Mayn, Executive Vice President for Products & Innovation.

The new concept for housing construction will show how construction in Denmark can already significantly reduce CO2 emissions annually. This goal must be achieved without additional costs in the construction process, and without compromising on quality, architecture and indoor climate.

The project is part of the VELUX sustainability strategy and our commitment to take practical action and visible leadership in accelerating green transition of the built environment.
